Introductory Blog Post

 

  Hello, my name is Isis Stevenson and this is my introductory blog post.


For my AICE Media Studies course, I've decided to create a magazine with a content page and a double page spread. 

 

MAIN TASK:

  • For the blog, the cover of the magazine, content page and other double page spreads will be completed individually. If there should be a group working on the magazine, everyone will be assigned a section to work on by themselves.
  • Photographs or films should be included to show cast your work and progression in the magazine. However, the film/images and/or text should be originally from your group. No plagiarism will be allowed in the creation of this magazine.
  • As a guideline, there should be steps followed each week to give each individual in the group the skills to complete the magazine successfully as well as contributing to the group.
  • There should be a minimum of 4 people in a group.

Camera shots

In film, there are multiple variations of film. I am going to be choosing six different camera shots which include: establishing shot, wide shot, close-up shot, master shot, mid-shot, and over the shoulder shot. Establishing shot: This shot show casts the scene in a zoomed out way which illustrates the relationship between the characters and their settings.   Wide shot: This shot shows the entire character or object and is wider in its frame. Close-up shot: This shot usually focuses on getting the face of an object or character and its purpose is to add emotion. Master shot: This shot is utilized to portray the most dramatized scenes in the film.   Mid-shot: This shot only shows the character from the waist up and is the most common shot.
