Magazine Conventions

 There are many things magazine creators/authors use to broadcast conventions that catch the readers attention. The signature name of the magazine helps readers to understand what kind of magazine they will be diving into. As well as, who is on the cover, selling lines, cover lines, etc. They way the cover is decorated and the side stories usually is what is used to catch the readers attention and make them want to indulge. The magazine conventions specifically are placed on covers to target the audience they would like to read their magazine. It also depends on if the magazine has a wide range of topics to cover or if it wants to focus its aim on particularly one thing. The main purpose of magazine conventions is to grant the reader an idea of what they will be reading in the magazine.

Camera shots

In film, there are multiple variations of film. I am going to be choosing six different camera shots which include: establishing shot, wide shot, close-up shot, master shot, mid-shot, and over the shoulder shot. Establishing shot: This shot show casts the scene in a zoomed out way which illustrates the relationship between the characters and their settings.   Wide shot: This shot shows the entire character or object and is wider in its frame. Close-up shot: This shot usually focuses on getting the face of an object or character and its purpose is to add emotion. Master shot: This shot is utilized to portray the most dramatized scenes in the film.   Mid-shot: This shot only shows the character from the waist up and is the most common shot.
