To create the best possible magazine, I will be detailing a sample cover page to illustrate an idea of how I want my magazine cover page to reflect. I will test out different texts and styles to better figure out what works best for my magazine. There will be pictures taken personally and narrowed to be on my sample cover page.
In film, there are multiple variations of film. I am going to be choosing six different camera shots which include: establishing shot, wide shot, close-up shot, master shot, mid-shot, and over the shoulder shot. Establishing shot: This shot show casts the scene in a zoomed out way which illustrates the relationship between the characters and their settings. Wide shot: This shot shows the entire character or object and is wider in its frame. Close-up shot: This shot usually focuses on getting the face of an object or character and its purpose is to add emotion. Master shot: This shot is utilized to portray the most dramatized scenes in the film. Mid-shot: This shot only shows the character from the waist up and is the most common shot. I choose to interview my model, Shaony Lopez, about her experiences as a curly hair girl and her younger years. Through my variety of questions, she spoke in grave detail about how she felt lost as a young girl. The media only portrayed white women with straight year which negatively impacted her identity. In her terms, she did not know she had curly hair as a child. She was told by her peers that her hair was "nappy" and "unkempt" which has been proven to be false. As the interview progressed, she spoke of how her view of her hair has significantly changed. She is now capable of properly managing her hair and states how it took much "trial and error" to get the point she is at now. In better terms, she expresses how she loves her hair and would not change it for anything in the world.
